So tight at the bottom.

Post  lewism5964 on Tue Mar 13, 2012 3:27 pm

If anyone has seen the updated table after tonight's results it is so tight right now at the bottom. Anyone up to 11th in the table is in this dogfight potentially. We so need to keep us this form and get results against the teams around us. The games against Arlesey and Evesham will be so tense now!

Totally agree, there are a lot of clubs in the Full of sh*t !

Our goal difference is healthy compared to others, if we can continue this run we are on then we will be ok and from the defensive performance on Sat that is key to us staying up. Discipline is also key and we don't need any further lapses like Stephen Hunt provided a few weeks ago.

I think that, even with nine games still to play, the bottom three are extremely unlikely to survive. But yes, above that, it really could be any one of nine, although obviously, the further up the table you go, the more teams have to put together a good run to overhaul you.

Anything we could get from Saturday's trip to Totton would be a huge bonus, but there are so many massive games to come after that. Five of our last eight games are against teams currently within three points of us, either above or below, including four in a row against Frome, Bashley, Hitchin and Evesham. We can't afford a run against those teams like the one we had after Christmas.

Evesham currently fill the last relegation spot with 38 points and 9 games to play - that's 4 more than Weymouth finished with outside the relegation spots with last year.

It is unusual for all four teams to go down, but if it does happen, it could be around 50 points this year, which is very unlucky for whoever it happens to.

On the face of it, Frome and Redditch are at risk as they're not scoring goals, Banbury and Hitchin are out of form.

My gut feeling has always been that Redditch will survive, and I still think that.

Anyone else heard whispers about Frome or Arlesey not being up to the ground grading?

You cant resist a dig at afro can you? lol. But having looked at the table, it's incredibly tight. Even Barwell who are in 10th will be looking over their shoulders.

It's going to be a very interesting run in to the end of the season......
